KH, Graduate Student (Philadelphia)I had been using the terrific book The Ultimate Spanish Review and Practice: Mastering Spanish Grammar for Confident Communication to brush up on my Spanish when the The Ultimate Spanish Review and Practice, CD Edition came on the market. I made great progress studying Spanish grammar and practicing it in the exercises in the book, but with the supplementary audio exercises on the two CDs I was also able to practice my skills of understanding and speaking. I like the format of the interactive audio exercises and greatly appreciate the English explanations and model sentences. Unlike other audio programs I've tried, this one gives me plenty of time to respond before the correct answer is heard. I like to do the audio drills without looking at the listening guide, but it's reassuring to know that if I don't understand something I hear I can look it up. The dictations are very helpful to me too.
