Moleskine 2012 12 Month Weekly Planner Horizontal Black Hard Cover Large (Moleskine Legendary Notebooks (Calendars)) Review

I'm going on four years with this kind of planner. Fantastic for academic or work use. Easy to plan all day events or individual appointments with amount of space provided. Fits well in a work bag or larger purse. Check the dimensions if you're worried about it fitting, you may want the pocket-sized version. This one is about half of a letter-sized page.
The one I have currently (almost a year) looks barely used from the outside. The page-holder string does fray slightly. Hard cover and elastic closure keep pages very nice. Has two years of monthly-view section in front to mark important days. Lots of handy information for the international traveler in front, plus removable address book that slips into the pocket in the back.
Definitely worth the investment if you plan on carrying it around. Holds up well to moderate abuse (being tossed into bottom of bag), and has definitely kept me more organized!

I love this notebook. It's been my companion for the last year, and I just ordered another.
I like the red because it makes it really easy to find.
It's the perfect size, really compact and light, while still big enough to be useful.
Each week is given one page- plenty of space to write in appointments, while the opposite page is lined. I use the opposite page for making lists of things I've to get done that week, or notes on appointments.
There's a pocket at the back that's handy for keeping appointment cards or whatever in.
You get fun stickers to mark important dates!

After many years of experimenting with organizers both paper based and electronic I have finally settled on the Moleskine weekly planner. The left page has the days of the week including the weekend and the facing page is ruled. I keep my appointments on the left and notes and tasks go on the right. The paper takes ink well although a wide nib fountain pen or gel pen can still bleed through a bit.

This is a great calendar and great way to keep organized, especially if you have more than one kid and a husband. Keeps track of everyone's schedule. However for me, who was just hoping for a more detailed organizer (I figure mom's usually are ultra organized) it didn't work out so well. While it was nice to keep my appointments there was a lot of space for the "kids and husband" appointments which I do not have haha.

I have used Moleskine planners for 3 years now. I previously used the hardcover week-at-a-time weekly planner, in the small and large sizes, so they would fit in my purse, and not be too heavy. I've followed my husband's example, who tracks his work each day in the book, and upsized to the daily planner. The book is thick, but still manageable. The softcover makes it fit in my bag or purse more easily. However, if you are hard on your books, you should probably get the hardcover version. There is a ribbon to mark what day you are on, and also the phases of the moon and holidays are tracked on each page. If you bear down really hard, you might find the paper too thin. The quality is good, however. I use my Moleskine planner to track what I have done, my thoughts, etc. for each day and I find it perfect for this purpose. Recommend!

2012 Almond Blossoms Compact Engagement Calendar (Weekly Planner) Review

I'm a graduate student and I ordered this planner to help me keep track of everything. It's a good size and will fit very nicely in my bag. It's large enough to accommodate for my busy schedule but not so big that it's overbearing. It seems to be pretty good quality and structurally sound. There's a hidden folder in the back great for papers that you don't want to loose. It also has a hard cover which is good for me because I tend to just throw things into my bag on the way out the door so the hard cover should help to keep it in tact. Also, the cover is embossed (which you cannot tell by looking at the image above) so the almond blossoms are raised just slightly which creates a very appealing texture. All in all it seems to be a pretty good planner. I gave it four stars because it is lacking a few features that I would have liked to have. There is no section to write in with calendar views, you can only write in the weekly view section which mean that if you want to look at your schedule for the month you have to flip through a few pages instead of just being able to look at it at a glance. There is also no bookmark for easy access. I've put a small paper clip on the page that I need, but it bulges out too much. I guess I could use a post it, but it would have been nice to have a bookmark of some kind built into the planner. But as I said, it's a good planner and will serve it's purpose for the year.

I've often and usually purchased dayplanner products and the like in the past and found, to my dismay, so many features I paid for I didn't use. This is the perfect price and perfect for me, as a mother. I love the monthly view and the weekly view isn't broken down by specific hours, but rather parts of the day, i.e. Morning, Afternoon, Evening. I love the To-Do lists with perforated edges I can rip out. It is made well, with a hardy construction used for the covers. The pages are of a suitable weight. It fits what I need it to do for myself and two children perfectly. I'll be buying another next year.

Moleskine 2012 18 Month Weekly Notebook Black Soft Cover Large Review

For me, at least.
I need a paper planner for a number of reasons, but the most important to me is that I'm a tactile kind of person and like to hold the book not look at a screen, and that the act of writing helps me remember appointments and tasks where typing does not.
The seven days of the week on one side and a lined page on the other is the best format for me. I have relatively few appointments, but many tasks per week that go on the lined page.
I've had Moleskine products with the soft cover, and they are OK for light use, but I carry and use a planner almost constantly. This lost the planner a half a star. Regardless, the hard cover stands up to this use better.
Other planners have the address book that slips into the pocket in back. I miss that, and that is what lost this product the rest of that star.
The pocket size (3.5 in by 5.5 in)just doesn't have enough space, and if I cram it, the writing is too hard on the eyes. This one, the large book is about 8 in by 5 in, and much more comfortable to write in and read, while not being excessively bulky.
The spare blank pages, the year overview calendar, and the pocket inside the back cover are above and beyond what I expect in a planner, but I have grown accustomed to them and use them regularly.
Excellent tool, and I recommend it to anyone who prefers (or might prefer) a physical rather than virtual planner.

Moleskine 2012 18 Month Weekly Notebook Black Soft Cover X Large Review

I teach high school and have used a Moleskine Academic Weekly Notebook for each of the past three years. I use the left side, which features the week divided up into six horizontal sections, with Saturday/Sunday sharing one space divided vertically, to track assignments, lesson planning, meetings, etc. I use the right side, which is a ruled notebook page, to write down ideas, notes for lessons, and anything else that comes to mind for that week.
At the end of its period of usefulness my Weekly Notebook is well-worn; each page is more or less filled. The Notebook is now a permanent record of my organization and planning for that academic year and rests labeled on a shelf in my classroom.
