Fairy Tale Weddings Review
The stories are a bit "hokey", but I enjoyed them anyway. This book contains 2 stories: "Cindy and the Prince" (based on Cinderella) and "Some Kind of Wonderful" (based on Beauty and the Beast.) Both were originally published in the 1980's. In "Cindy and the Prince," Cindy works as a maintenance worker (janitor) at Thorndike Prince's company. They meet at a company party that she crashes. She has to be home by midnight and he searches for her after that. You can guess the rest. In "Some Kind of Wonderful," Judy Lovin's family is about to loose everything if John McFarland calls in their bank note. But he offers a reprieve if she comes to stay with him at his island. Judy's family nickname is "Beauty," and their nickname for John is "Beast." Neither of the stories has very well developed characters, but they are sweet to read, and somewhat realistic. John McFarland, for example, learns that he can't keep his love trapped/captive on his island. He needs to let her go and trust her.Fairy Tale Weddings Overview
