A real page turner. It was hard to put the book down. Well written. It made me cry and it was very thought provoking. For a young child to go through so much trauma and despite it all become an accomplished adult is awesome. This book is sure to inspire abuse victims to fight back by not letting their victimizers take away their future.

Dear Reader:Thank you for this opportunity.Growing up in Pittsburgh Pa, the only daughter of six children born to a wayward, promiscuous mother. With an admitted drinking problem and a lust for men, our mother often left my brothers and me to fend for ourselves against the often harsh and unforgiving urban streets; streets overrun with predators. The trials and tribulations; the demons and ghost that I was forced to face were things most people can't begin to imagine. At times, it seemed the devil was one step closer to destroying my dreams, my future'my life. But, God had other plans.Climbing the Broken Stairs was my journey and battle to overcome child abuse. During my telling of these accounts, I don't pretend to suppress or exaggerate the truth in order to make this book an “easier" or “better" read'it simply was what it was.
